Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born on July 8,1946 in Kiev, Ukraine, the son of the late Boris and Eve Dashevskiy.
Oleg was a remarkable man with an extraordinary mind, an endless curiosity, and a wonderful sense of humor. He dedicated much of his life to computers and technology, a field he was passionate about. After graduating from one of the most prestigious technical universities in the world, he went on to become one of the prominent computer specialists in Ukraine. His intelligence, dedication, and love of learning were evident in everything he did.
Oleg never stopped learning. He loved to read, especially science fiction, and his curiosity knew no bounds. He could even spend hours reading encyclopedias simply because he enjoyed discovering something new. He had an incredible wealth of knowledge and could talk about countless subjects, always teaching those around him something along the way.
But Oleg was much more than his remarkable intellect. He was funny, warm, and a wonderful storyteller. He had a seemingly endless supply of jokes, and his friends and family often asked him to tell them a new one. Somehow, he always had another joke ready. His stories, humor, and laughter brought happiness to the people around him, and many will remember him with a smile because of the joy he brought into their lives.
Oleg also loved to travel. He was always happy to accompany his beloved wife, Irina, on her business trips and conferences, turning those trips into opportunities for the two of them to experience new places and make memories together.
Most of all, Oleg loved his family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Irina; his son, Sergey (Alicia) Dashevskiy; his grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Brandon, Bradley, and Daniel; his sister, Irina (Zakhar) Perekhodnik; his many cousins, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends; and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Luke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boris and Eve Dashevskiy.
Oleg leaves behind so much more than a list of accomplishments. He leaves behind stories that will continue to be told, jokes that will be remembered and repeated, lessons that he shared through his incredible knowledge, and countless memories cherished by the people who loved him.
His absence will be deeply felt, but his laughter, his stories, his curiosity, and his love will remain with his family and friends forever.
Oleg will be deeply missed and forever loved.
