CAMERON, James Robert – of Flint, MI, age 87, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020. A Private Graveside Service was held at Meadowview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Jim’s name.
Jim was born in Gladwin, MI on June 30, 1933, son of the late Floyd and Regina (Temwalte) Cameron. He married Pauline Bandur on January 19, 1957 in Flint, MI. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Kearsley Community Schools after many years of service. Jim enjoyed watching news programs and sports on TV, especially the Detroit Tigers. He was fond of fishing and spending time outdoors.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of more than 63 years, Pauline Cameron; two adoring daughters, Anna Smith and Lora (Tom) Frasier; five grandchildren, Colleen (Robert) Brown, Kevin (Laurie) McConnell, John Smith, Jamie (Brandon) Gildner and Ryan (Mary) McConnell; several great-grandchildren; many other loving family and friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son, James Vincent Cameron; son-in-law, John Smith; six sisters and two brothers.
