Forest Eldine Halvorsen III, of Fairview
died on September 18, 2023, at Marlette Regional Hospice Service in Marlette, MI, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 56.
Forest was born on May 31, 1967, to Forest Halvorsen II and Sandra Bigelow. He graduated from Chesaning High School in 1985. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for 4 years. After serving his country, he worked at Advanced Drainage Systems as a truck driver for 25 years. On August 21, 2010, he married the love of his life, Belinda Halvorsen. They spent 13 years together.
Forest was known for being a true, American man who loved his family undoubtedly. He was incredibly caring and hardworking. Amongst spending time with his family and grandchildren, he also enjoyed watching weekly NASCAR races, listening to 80's Rock N' Roll, camping, wood working, and making people laugh whenever he could. He brought his family so much joy, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Forest is survived by his wife, Belinda Halvorsen; loving father to Tabitha (Mike) See, Danielle (Mike) Hoppe, Dustin (Thomas) Angst, Lyndsey (Luke) Newland, Forest IV (Taylor) Halvorsen, Joshua (Courtney) Wiedbrauk, Trisha (Klint) Winland, Justin (Karena) Wiedbrauk; wonderful papa to Ethan, Jack, Scarlett, Sophie, Khloe, Sawyer, Dean, Ethan, Eli, Ezra, Tinley, Trexton, Evelyn, and Emmet; sister, Tina (Martin) Hamm; and the mother of his children, Karen Halvorsen. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Karen Plemon.
A funeral service with military honors will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 2:00pm, with visitation starting at 10:00am till the time of service, at McGeehan Funeral Home - Martin Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in honor of Forest.
