Carmen Pulido passed away on May 11, 2022, in Flint, MI, she was 92 years old. A viewing will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, May 17, at 10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebration at 11 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe 2316 Coldwater Rd., Flint, MI 48505. Fr. Paul Donnelly officiating. Burial at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, 2020 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI, with lunch following at Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was surrounded with so much love from family and friends as she transitioned from this earth to meet her heavenly Father, family and friends who preceded her in death. Carmen was born March 15,1930 and came to the United States in the mid to late 40’s from Zacatecas, Mexico. She raised a family of 5 children and retired after 25 years with McLaren Hospital and continued to live and nurture her growing family in Flint, MI. She lived in the same house for over 60 years and was loved and watched out for by her neighbors who knew and loved her. In Carmen’s home, you were never a stranger. Family, friends, and neighbors always showed up hungry because they knew they could always count on a great meal coming out of Carmen’s kitchen. She had a wicked sense of humor even up to days before she passed. With 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren there are generations who were lucky enough to know and love her. Carmen was not only devoted to her family but was a devout Catholic. The church and her faith gave her much comfort and joy. If you called to say “hi” she would always joke and say “are you here? I’m waiting on the porch for you.” Keep waiting on the heavenly porch...we’ll be there with you one of these days. Carmen is survived by her 5 children - Juan, Mario, Maria, Enrique(Deb), Elisa (James), grandchildren, Lisa (Tom), Marcos (Marilou), Michelle (Kelly), Jamie (Mandy), Justin, Christina, Mario (Jamie), Veronica, Stephanie, Michael (Erin), her brother Pedro(Sarah) and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and many beloved siblings. Carmen was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
