JONES, Donnie L. – of Davison, age 80, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in Donnie’s name.
Donnie was born in Flint, MI on July 6, 1941, son of the late Lloyd and Lucille (Martin) Jones. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1963-1966. Donnie married Lynn Adams on December 10, 1966. He retired from GM as a truck driver. On the side, he enjoyed working with his hands. He was known for being the first on the dance floor and enjoyed playing golf. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Gregory (Stacey) Jones, Lisa (Jeff) Williams, Jeffrey (Danielle) Jones and Gina Jones; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Jason Jones; brother, Jerry Jones.
