Mark Roy Diamond of Millington age 70, died Thursday October 5, 2023 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday October 10, 2023 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev Tony Jacobs officiating: burial to follow in Montrose Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2:00 – 6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home and from 11:00 am Tuesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Mark’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
Mark was born in Flint Michigan on April 20, 1953 the son of Edward and Delores (Watson) Diamond and has resided in Millington the last thirty-two years, spending his early years in Flint. He was joined in marriage to April Lemcool on October 15, 1977. Mark was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed hunting. His greatest love was the wind in his face on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Mark had been employed by General Motors Truck & Bus Division until his retirement.
He leaves his wife of forty-five years, April. Children: Mark Diamond Jr., Sandy Diamond, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Also he leaves his mother Delores Diamond, his siblings: Edward (Cathy) Diamond Jr., Cynthia (Tim) Hassenger, Terry Ward, Gene Diamond, Jennifer Diamond, Steve (Kim) Diamond, and numerous extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Diamond, brother James Diamond, brother-in-laws: Clarence Ward, Max Lemcool, and nephew Aaron Ward.
