Drubin, Rick Edward, age 75, of Flushing passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026 at the Oaks at Woodfield with his family surrounding him. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Rick was born in Flint Michigan on September 17, 1950, the son of Edward and Mavis (Hodge) Drubin. Rick was a Graduate of Flushing High School class of 1968 and married Sandra Ward on June 22, 2004, in Flushing. Rick worked for Michigan Bell and AT&T, retiring after 40 years.
Rick was a definite sports enthusiast and loved to golf. He belonged to many leagues over the years and in his retirement, he enjoyed working at Briar Ridge Golf Course. Rick was an avid U of M football fan and season ticket holder; he loved going to the games with his son.
He also enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Prudenville at Houghton Lake fishing, boating and golfing. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family and always came up with exciting excursions for the family.
Rick is survived by his wife Sandy; son Nicholas (Molly) Drubin; stepdaughters, McKenzie Bigger, Nicole Baragwanath; granddaughter Kenna Bigger; brother Randy Drubin; sister, Diane Davies and many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Brett Davies; and brother-in-law, Martin Davies.
