Kenneth Carl Quaderer, of Chesaning,
died on August 26, 2023 at his home. Ken was born on October 30, 1938 to Aloysius Quaderer and Agnes (Indlekofer) Quaderer. He was the 8th of 11 children. Ken was a life long member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He graduated from St. Michael School in 1956. He served in the United States Army, taking basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. After basic training, he attended the Non Commissioned Officers Academy before serving in the 3rd, Armored division later in the infantry division in Germany. On April 22, 1967, he married the love of his life, Beverly Gallery. Together they had three children, Amy, Andrew, and Aaron. Ken later retired from General Motors, after many dedicated years as an electrician. He was also a Knight of Columbus member, was an avid woodworker, had a passion for hunting and spending time in nature, loved watching old western movies, and always being a helping hand to those in need. He was known for researching a topic to find the best solution for one's problem.
Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly (Gallery) Quaderer; children, Amy Quaderer-Bowen, Andrew (Gina) Quaderer, and Aaron (Amy) Quaderer; grandchildren, Alex (Amber) Bowen, and Olivia (Adam) Meisel; sisters, Kate (Jerry) Kleinfeld, and Agnes Keinath; sister-in-laws, Sharon Quaderer, and Pat Quaderer. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Maurice (Ann) Quaderer, Marianne (Ken) Darland, Virginia (Ken) Michaels, Dorothy (Ken) Flattery, Donald (Pat) Quaderer, Bernard Quaderer, Fred Quaderer, and infant sister, Carol; brother-in-law, Tim Keinath.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Michael Catholic Church, with visitation starting at 10:00am, until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, with military honors.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Michael Catholic Church, in honor of Ken. |
