HUMPHREYS, Thomas – of Davison, age 95, passed away on March 21, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville, 48463. Pastor Alan Duce officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until the time of Service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to donate to the organizations of their choice.
Thomas was born in Boston, MA on September 6, 1928, son of the late Thomas and Marie (Allman) Humphreys. He left home at the age of 16 and moved to Romulus, MI and worked until joining the U.S. Army at the age of 19. From June 27, 1947 he was stationed in Hawaii and then Alaska until July 14, 1950. After the Army, he lived in Romulus and worked at Kaiser-Frazier, Great Lakes Steel Mill and the U.S. Post office carrying mail in Romulus and Wayne. Thomas married Easter Caldwell, who preceded him in death in 2003. He married Doris Gregor on June 21, 2008 and moved from Sandusky to Davison, before purchasing their home in Goodrich.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Doris Gregor; stepchildren, Cheryl, Mark and Dale Gregor; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and stepchildren.
