HIPKINS, Dolores Elma – of Tawas, age 82, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Tendercare of Tawas. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Tanner Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1PM until 7PM and on Friday from 1PM until the time of service at 2PM. Contributions may be made to the family.
Dolores was born September 14, 1931 in Frankenmuth to the late LeRoy and Rosanna (Nichols) Burns. She lived in Flint most of her life. She married Robert Hipkins on September 7, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1965.
Surviving are: children, Sharon (Clyde) Cooper of Clio, Donald Hipkins of Flint, Richard (Sue) Hipkins of Vassar, Ann (Ron) Cooper of Tawas, Dennis Hipkins of Flint, Robert Hipkins of Flint, Pamela Hipkins of Hazel Park; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Gerry) Burns of Tawas; sisters, Alberta Schwalm of Hope, Jackie Pelch of Flint, Elaine Smith of Sage Lake, Ruth Ann Turner of Clio; many nieces and nephews.
