STIFF, Maurice Alan - age 77, of Linden, died July 5, 2023. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, July 10, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, MI 48451. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Following the cemetery service a luncheon will be held at Linden VFW Hall. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Maurice was born January 15, 1946 in Owosso, MI, the son of Rolland A. and Evelyn J. (Crane) Stiff. He was a 1964 graduate of Linden High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. Maurice married Kathleen Hoiska. Maurice was a machinist by trade. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a very talented woodcarver and had won the National Championship of wooden duck carvings. He also made Best of Show in many fish decoy shows. Maurice was a past president and member of the Bass Federation of Michigan and the Fenton Bass Club. Surviving are: wife, Kathleen; three sons, Patrick (Dana) Stiff of Kentucky, Gregory Stiff of Indiana, and Chris (Amanda) Stiff of Laingsburg; five grandchildren, Olivia, Brittany, Meghan, Skylar and Cody; many nieces and nephews.
