GARLAND, Colonel J. Keith of Rancho Mirage, California, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Keith was born on November 17, 1929 in Flint, Michigan, the son of John and Rhea Garland. He graduated from Flint Central High School, Class of 1947. Keith married Bethany Flynn on October 3, 1953. He joined the United States Air Force on August 16, 1950. The highlight of his 24 years in the Air Force was being the first pilot for the Vice President of the United States, Spiro T. Agnew.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bethany;
Sons, J. Keith Jr., Kelly and Kyle;
4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren;
Sister, Bethany MacArthur;
Nephew, Thomas MacArthur;
And niece, Cyndia Scott.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth and his parents.
