Ernestine Louise Thompson - Age 78, of Fenton, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street, Linden. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Ernestine was born on October 19, 1947, in Durand, the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Eloise I. (Shaw) Starkey. She was a loving, kind-hearted, and hardworking woman who touched the lives of many. Ernestine worked at VG's for many years and truly enjoyed connecting with people. She had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her warmth and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond, Edward Scott, and Michael; her grandchildren, Otto William Thompson and Michael Robert Smith; and her great-granddaughter, Elena Smith.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry; her sisters, Lois, Alice, and Clara; and her brothers, Albert and Larry.
