Jay Walter Koehler
Age 65 of St. Charles passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 unexpectedly at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2022 at McGeehan Funeral Homes - St. Charles Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Jay was born on December 7, 1957 to Walter and Charlene (King) Koehler in Sebewaing, Michigan.
During his life, Jay worked various skilled labor jobs. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fly fishing in Colorado. He was an athlete in high school and his love for playing sports went well into his 40's. He was eager to make you laugh and always happy to share his wisdom and advice. He was also known for his wonderlust as well as his love for cooking good food for other people.
Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Sandra Burns; children, Andrew Koehler, Chelsey Koehler, Michael (Ashley) Gardner, Cassie (Tristan Hanson) Spannegel; grandchildren, James, Graham, Emerson, Levi, Tristan, Kaily; mother; siblings, LouAnn Rundell, Lynn Graham, Lee Koehler; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father.
