FOX, Harold Sr.- of Frankenmuth, age 97, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1:30PM Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Carol J. Freeland officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 12PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Harold was born June 7, 1924, in Bay City, to the late John and Luella (Bryan) Fox. He served in the United States Navy for four years during World War II and was a member of the VFW Post #3623 in Cheboygan. On March 6, 1944, Harold married the love of his life, Bertha Mann, in Standish. He worked as a Security Officer at General Motors for 26 years, he retired in 1980. Harold was a crafty man who enjoyed keeping his hands busy doing woodwork and painting. He loved to travel with his wife and liked to go hunting and fishing from time to time. Harold was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Harold is survived by children: Julie Adamson, Harold (Donna) Fox Jr., and Linda (Harold) Gross; Grandchildren: Dillard Roy (Toni) Adamson, Paula (Mark) Fox, Brian (Tracy) Fox, Mike (Jen) Fox, Lori (Mike) Filarski, Brett (Angie) Zimmerman, and Ken (Elizabeth) Zimmerman; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; Siblings: Joseph (Karen) Cook, E. Bernadine LaLonde, and Ione Cash. He was preceded in death by: Wife, Bertha Fox; Parents, and grandson, Brandon Fox.
