RICHARD LEROY MILLER, age 75, of Davison passed peacefully November 1, 2023 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, with over 38 years of sobriety. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Richard was born January 21, 1948 in Flint, Michigan. He attended school in Davison, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran and a General Motors retiree. He attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. Richard was a big sports fan. He especially loved Michigan Football, the Detroit Lions and boxing. Richard made scuba diving trips to the Caribbean. He was a member of the Davison Athletic Club for many years.
Richard is survived by son, Chad Miller, of Ludington; son, Nick (Kristin Shade) Miller, of Davison, and their daughters, Evan Shade and Ariana Miller; stepdaughters, Jen Cooper and family, and Wendy Lockrey and family; former spouse and friend, Christine Miller; and many extended family members. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Nowak.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Fontana and the staff at U of M Hospital for their dedicated and compassionate care over the past 38 years.
