Age: 84
Community: Flint, MI

Judy Lynn Case, age 84, passed away on August 19, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on August 23, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Francis Edward Hall and Orpha Pauline Odykirk. She grew up in Flint and graduated from Dye High School in Flint Township; and married Robert Edwin Case on September 15, 1966 in Flint. From an early age, Judy carried herself with quiet strength, kindness, and a deep devotion to the people she loved.

She spent her life as a homemaker, and that role was one she embraced with complete dedication and pride. Judy raised five boys, Rod, Gordon, Scott, Rick, and Bobby, and her life revolved around her children and family. She gave of herself freely and without hesitation, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was the kind of woman who did things for everyone, and her generosity touched all who knew her. She was truly the epitome of giving, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on her family and friends.

Judy was known for her patience, her thoughtful nature, and her tender heart. She loved babies and had a special way of making others feel cared for and welcomed. She was also a penny pincher when it came to the household finances, a quality that reflected her careful, practical approach to life and her commitment to making sure her family was provided for. She was a homebody who found comfort in the simple rhythms of home and family life, and she cherished the peace of watching the colors change with the seasons.

Her interests reflected the beauty and calm she found in everyday living. Judy loved reading, and one of her favorite authors was Nicholas Sparks. She found joy in nature and especially enjoyed watching the birds. She appreciated the quiet moments, the changing skies, and the blessings of ordinary days. Those who knew her will remember her as a gentle, generous, and thoughtful woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth.

Judy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bob; her sons, Rodney Case, Gordon and Carol Case, Scott and Gloria Case, and Bobby and Alyshia Case; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Amanda, Tonya, Jason (Michelle), Gillian, and Delaney; her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jeremiah, Taryn, Grace, Preston, and Annabelle; also, her great-great-grandchildren, Ryder, Lexon, and Jaylen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Rick Case; her daughter-in-law, Rhonda; and her siblings, Doug, Dale, Jan, and Ernie. Judy was deeply loved by her family, and her memory will remain a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration for generations to come.

A life so devoted to others is a life that leaves a lasting legacy. Judy’s family will remember her for her unwavering love, her selfless heart, and the steady presence she offered throughout her life. As Helen Keller once said, “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” Judy will forever remain a cherished part of the lives she touched.
