JONES, Sara (Yuncker)- of Clio, age 48, died Monday, March 7, 2022, at Ascension Genesys of Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be held 11AM Monday, March 14, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Carol Freeland officiating. The family will receive visitors Sunday at the funeral home from 1PM until 6PM, and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Sara was born December 13, 1973, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, to Richard and Lillian (Simpson) Yuncker. She graduated from Hill-McLoy High School with the class of 1992 and attended Mott Community College. Sara married Jamie Jones on August 20, 2016, in New Lothrop. She worked as a paraeducator for Marion D. Crouse Instructional Center in Flushing for many years where she positively impacted many lives. Sara enjoyed listening to music - especially Stevie Nicks, singing karaoke from time to time, and traveling with her family to the Great Lakes. Sara would light up every room she walked into with her vibrant personality and genuine smile. She was a selfless, family-oriented woman who wanted what was best for everyone and always put other’s needs before her own. Sara had a pure heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are: Husband, Jamie Jones; Children: Catherine Jones, Cooper Jones, Makayla (Dylan) Kenny, and Donovan Jones; Grandchildren: Luna and Oakley; Siblings: Shawn (Jodi) Yuncker and Katie (Scott) Rogalla; Parents: Richard and Lillian Yuncker; Niece and nephews: Nolan, Ella, and Mason Rogalla; Mother and father-in-law, Robert and Mary Jones; Loving companions: Cheyenne, Jolene, Vixen, and Sonny; several aunts, uncles, close family, friends, and many students over the years. Sara was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Jerry (Kitty) Yuncker, and Del (Louraine) Simpson; 1 aunt and 2 uncles.
