LATZY, Judith – of Davison, age 82, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at The Cottage of Davison. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Thursday, November 3, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Thursday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a Memorial Service, conducted by the Daughters of Isabella – #1095 Regina Coeli Circle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association, in Judith’s memory.
Judith was born in Flint, Michigan on January 5, 1940, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Carney) Fuhst. She married Bernard Latzy on August 20, 1960. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella – #1095 Regina Coeli Circle and St. Patrick’s Guild. Judy enjoyed gardening and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of them.
Judith is survived by her loving husband, Bernard; children, Cheryl (Mike) Lynch and Paulette (Mike) Reif; daughter-in-law, Emma Latzy; 3 grandchildren, Megan (Zach) Musgraves, Tyler (Jessica) Lynch and Elizabeth (Dave) De Mand; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden Ferguson and Copelan Lynch; great-great-granddaughter Rylie De Mand; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Bernie Latzy; brothers, Paul and Donald Fuhst.
