SPANGLER, Robert “Steve” - Of Fenton, formerly of Swartz Creek and Clio, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Donald Dennis officiating.
Burial in Meadowview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Higher Praise Church.
Visitation 11am-1pm and 4pm-8pm Thursday and 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Millstone, Kentucky on August 5, 1950, the son of Arthur Vernon Spangler and Virginia Rose Gibson. Robert worked for the Railroad for 42 years and retired in 2010. Since then he enjoyed doing puzzles, watching westerns and sports. He loved the Lord, his family and his church.
Robert leaves behind his wife, Charlotte of 41 years; his sister, Violet (Steve) Holladay; brothers, Mark Spangler and Arthur Spangler; his children, Michelle Brooks, Shannon M. Harris (Les), Stephanie (Brian) Vernon, Shann (April) Spangler, Seth Spangler, and Sally (Dan) Lorence; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Spangler and Virginia Gibson, sister Marie Williams and son, Michael Scott Wheelock.
