WAMBACH, Hugh Dennis - Age 58, of Fenton, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, August 8, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Bill Wambach celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM Monday, August 8, 2022 until the time of service. Also Hugh's family will receive friend's Sunday, June 12, 2022 at his residence from after 1 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Solanus Casey Center, 1780 Mt. Elliott St., Detroit, MI 48207.
Hugh was born August 5, 1963 in Detroit, the son of Ronald Nicholas and Jo'Lee M. (McCabe) Wambach. He was a 1982 graduate of Holy Rosary Catholic High School in Flint; he received a Associates Degree from Lansing Community College. He had resided in Fenton since 2008. He was a self employed painter. Hugh was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Fenton Knights of Columbus Council #7418. He was an avid hiker and biker; having hiked the Appalachian Trail twice and the Natchez Trace Trail once.
Surviving are: his mother, Jo'Lee Wambach of Fenton; siblings, Fr. William Wambach of Newberry, Charisse (Bob) Harold of Taylor, Steven Patrick Wambach of Fenton, and Joseph (Mary) Wambach of Tucson, AZ; step siblings, Tammy (_____) Magdzas of Wisconsin, Charles H. (Laura) Bruneel, Jr. of Lansing, and Henry Louis Bruneel of Los Angeles, California; additionally his aunt, Mary Lou (Wambach) MacNamara and her children, Maureen Scyzpzka, Eileen Dunleavey, and Ann Marie McLaurin and their loving husbands, children, and grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wambach; sister-in-law, Alison Wambach; step father, Charles Bruneel, Sr.; and step sister, Toni Marie Good. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
