JIMENEZ, Raymond (Ray), Jr., age 91, of Flint, Michigan passed away Friday March 18, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Ray was born on July 7, 1930 in Flint Michigan to Ramon and Guadalupe Jimenez. Ray graduated from Flint Central High School in 1950. After high school Ray served his country as an Army Corporal in the Korean Conflict. Honorably discharged after only 21 months of his draft Ray returned home to marry the love of his life, Geraldine. Ray and Geraldine Hayes were married June 20, 1953 in Flint, Michigan. Ray and his wife devoted their life to raising their six daughters, instilling in them their strong family values. Ray held many jobs, including a truck driver for Central Grocery for 24 years and managing the bulk foods for Meijer, but his most important careers were dad, husband, and caregiver for his wife. Ray was known by many as a hardworking, respectful, loyal, family-man, but behind that was a kind, compassionate, loving, and appreciative man. In his downtime, Ray enjoyed model trains, woodworking, golf, and bowling, however vacations, such as camping, with his family and close friends were always the most important. In later years he enjoyed traveling with his longtime companion, Patricia Gibbons, especially enjoying their trip to Hawaii, fulfilling one of his lifelong dreams. Ray's legacy are his girls, all of whom made him proud to be a dad. And his pride continues as his girls raise families that encompass the same love for family that he lived his whole life to fulfill. Ray leaves behind daughters, Kathy (David M) Eicke, Mona (Dean) Gale, Becky (Steve) Berriman, Ann (Brian) Bayley, and Joann Taljonick. Grandchildren: David R. Eicke; Dana Gale; Andrew (Mary) and Samuel (Ashten) Berriman; Bradley, Brent, and Abigail Bayley; Gage Eplett; and Ricky Taljonick. Great Grandchild, Brooks Berriman; Sisters-in-law: Noemi and Becky Jimenez and brother-in-law Robert (Verna) Hayes along with many nieces and nephews. Ray is also survived by Patricia Gibbons and her children Renda (Rick) Maseke, Vicky Gibbons, and Anne Gibbons. Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine Jimenez, Daughter, Karen Jimenez, Son-in-law, Richard Taljonick III, Brothers, Mike, Alfred, and George Jimenez, Sister, Celia (David) Atherton, Sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Jack Sr.) Bois, Betty (Robert) Dasen, Brothers-in-law William (Phyillis) Hayes, and Richard Hayes.
