Carol Ann Wishart, born March 7, 1948, was welcomed peacefully into eternal life on February 4, 2026, by her parents, August and Anne Madaras, her brothers, Mark and Richard, and niece, Melanie.

Carol graduated from Flint Central H.S. in 1966, where she met the love of her life, John Wishart. Married in April 1973, the couple welcomed their only son, Robert, in December 1982. Carol also gained a wonderful daughter-in-law, Wing, in January 2024.

After retiring from a proud career at Genesee Bank, Carol and John took to traveling, where they visited numerous destinations including Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, Hong Kong, and Central America. They enjoyed cruises, visiting our National Parks, and lovely walks in Flint.

Carol was a loving, generous, and thoughtful person who never forgot to send a card or buy a special gift. She and her sisters were very close, and they spent many memorable times together. Carol will be remembered for her gentle spirit and devotion to family and faith.

An avid reader, Carol accumulated a library of books. She was proud of her Hungarian heritage and served as treasurer of the St. Joseph Hungarian Club for many years. Carol’s legacy will live on in the memories she created and the love she shared.

Carol is also survived by sisters Brenda (Jack) Stikeleather, Deborah (Jim) Bednarski, Sisters-in-law Ronnette Madaras, Judy Jackson, and Carolyn Hays, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the nurses and hospice staff at McLaren Hospital for the comfort and care they provided Carol in her final days.
