Sandra Corrine Farris
Age 84, of Perry, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her cherished family.
A funeral service to honor Sandra's life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Perry Nazarene Church, with Tim Harmon officiating, along with Richard Wahl. She will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery, next to her beloved husband, Travis Farris. The family invites friends to join them at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the start of the service.
Born on December 2, 1941, in Owosso, Sandra was the daughter of Russell and Edna (Brown) Wahl. She graduated from Owosso High School and continued her education at Michigan State University, where she studied accounting.
Sandra was a woman with a heart of gold, known for her unwavering kindness and her dedication to helping others. A lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers, she brought joy and warmth to her home, ensuring no guest ever left hungry. Her passion for cooking was rivaled only by her love for travel and adventure, often spending delightful times at Indian River or exploring new destinations. Above all, she treasured her family and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
On December 31, 1987, Sandra married her forever love, Travis Farris in Perry, MI.
Throughout her career, Sandra combined her love of cooking and caring for others while working at S & J Catering. Additionally, Sandra worked as an accountant, even owning her own business, "Sandy's Tax Service". She was affectionately known as the "keeper of numbers."
Sandra leaves behind her loving children: Mark (Andrea) Cowles, Tim (Shannon) Cowles, and Tammy (Paul) Herba, Linda (Mike) Armstrong, Cindy (Tracy) Dietrich, Sharon (Shawn) Yeasley and Ronald (Yvette) Farris; adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren and soon to be great-great granddaughter; her siblings Lynda (Wayne) Carpenter and Darlene (Chris) Seymour; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Travis Brady Farris, her father, Russell A. Wahl, Jr., her mother, Edna Jo Wahl, and her brother, Russel A Wahl the 3rd
