SOHLDEN, (Pyrc) Irene Louise – of Mt. Morris, formerly of Montrose, age 90, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Westfall Assisted Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at St Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev Fr. Roy Hornig celebrant. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Irene was born October 15, 1931 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Peter and Catherine (Gornecki) Bolanowski. She grew up in Montrose and attended Montrose Schools. On November 5, 1949 she married Joseph Pyrc and he preceded her in death on May 8, 1996. Irene was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society and the Choir. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, and her flowers. Irene taught piano and the organ to several people over the years. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Catherine (Lewis) Gradowski, Julie (Robert) Gradowski, Helen Whitney, Joseph Pyrc, Margaret LaFramboise, Henrick (Kathleen) Pyrc, Raymond (Nikola) Pyrc; 20 grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Paul (Delta) Bolanowski, Virginia Emmendorfor; several nieces and nephews.
