Hynes, Zelda "Zee" Joyce - Age 94, of Allendale, formerly of Flint, passed away November 18, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. (A live stream of the service will be available on Zee's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday November 21, and 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Faith Hospice, Grand Rapids, MI.
Zee was born October 26, 1928 in Linden, Michigan, the daughter of Ersel Monroe Ayres and Mary Bell (Curry) Ayres. She was a 1947 graduate of Beecher High School. She married Roy Hynes on November 27, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1993. She worked as a librarian assistant at Beecher High School for many years. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards with friends, and spending time with family. She resided in Florida for 30 years before moving back to Michigan. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand puppies.
She is survived by three children, Douglas (Brenda) Hynes of Burton, Gregory Hynes (Jane Johnson) of Flushing, and Cynthia (Anthony) Norko of Allendale; three grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa) Hynes, Jacob Hynes, and Daniel (Maggie) Norko; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Jacob, Audrey, Jackson, Mae, Brandon "Brady", and Casey; sister-in-law, Erba Hynes; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Brandon Norko; and sister, Evelyn Binkley.
