HOUNAM, LOUISE E.- Of Mundy Township, age 71, died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Bavarian Comfort Care-Bridgeport.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Flint Memorial Park, Reverend Dan VanderVelde officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan or Alzheimer’s Association.
Louise was born in Flint, Michigan on May 14, 1949, the daughter of the late Edward and Francis (Keeley) Horne.
On August 15, 1970 she married Charles Hounam in Davison.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Davison.
Louise retired from P & H Plumbing and Heating in 2009.
She was a Big Sister with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She was an avid reader, hospice volunteer and lay minister.
Surviving are husband, Charles;
daughter, Christine and husband Mike Ortman;
son, Steve and wife Kara Hounam;
grandchildren, Abigail, Liam and Olivia;
brothers, Jim, Jerry, George and Michael Horne;
sisters, Marita Maniak, Theresa Belanger, Mary Kaza, Katie Sunday and Jeanine Pierce;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dick and Don Horne.
