SEIDEL, Vincent Aloysius (Siedlecki) – Of Flint, age 94, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, G-4063 West Pierson Road, Flint,
Father Anthony Majchrowski officiating.
Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Seidel will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Vincent was born in Flint, Michigan on October 3, 1919, the son of Anthony and Helen (Panek) Siedlecki and was a lifelong resident of Flint.
On June 20, 1953 he married Irene Magiera at All Saints Catholic Church in Flint.
He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Polish Legion of American Veterans Pulaski Post #8, Past Commander. He was a member of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155, First Marine Division Association, Guadalcanal Veterans, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Dom Polski of Flint, Flint Men’s Bowling Association, Past President, Flint Bowling Hall of Fame and the UAW Local #599 Retirees.
Mr. Seidel was employed by Buick Motor Division.
Surviving are daughter, Helena and husband Kenn Kurowski;
sister, Loretta (Andy) Bero;
sisters-in-law, Shirley Seidel, Madge Seidel, Phyllis (Jas) Stempien;
brother-in-law, Steven (Pearl) Magiera;
grandchildren;
great-grandchildren;
nieces, nephews;
special friends and his special puppies, Swatka, Stasiu and Anyel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene; brothers, Anthony, Walter, Edward and Raymond; sisters, Valerie and Maxine.
