EDWARDS, Drew F. – of Clio, age 67, died peacefully at home with family by his side on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 4PM Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio with full military honors. Pastor Carol Freeland officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1PM until the time of service at 4PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melanoma Research Alliance (curemelanoma.org).
Drew was born March 24, 1956, in Kerrville, Texas, to William H. and Ima Dean (Jackson) Edwards. He married Roberta “Robin” Peabody on July 23, 1999. Mr. Edwards proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1975 until he was honorably discharged and retired as a crew chief in 1995. Drew was also a truck driver with ACC for many years before retiring in 2020. He enjoyed tinkering in his man cave, fishing, watching ESPN, and gardening with his wife. Drew loved bowling and bowled with several leagues at the Clio Bowling Arcade. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Robin Edwards of Clio; Sons: Jeffery Edwards of Dobson, North Carolina, and William (Sarah) Peabody of Flushing; Daughter, Christina (Dustin) Wood of San Angelo, Texas; Grandchildren: Kaylin and Gabe Peabody of Flushing, and Aubrey and Alex Wood of Mountain Home, Idaho; Mother, Ima Dean Edwards of Belton, Texas; Sister, Sandy (Richard) Tucker of Temple, Texas; Brother, Paul (Mila) Edwards of Canyon Lake, Texas; Furry kitty companion, Gizzy; Several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
