SABOURIN, Elaine Marie. – of Clio, age 85, died on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Bentley Manor of Clio. Funeral Services will be held at 12PM Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in the Mausoleum at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint. Deacon Ray Ellingson officiating.
Elaine was born June 15, 1936, in Flint, Michigan to the late Leo and Vina (Cousineau) Sabourin. Her early school years were at St. Michael’s, high school at Marywood Academy in Grand Rapids, and later earned her teaching degree at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. Elaine taught for many years at Woodland Elementary and Pierson Elementary. She enjoyed traveling.
Elaine leaves behind: Brother in law, David Lee; As well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Son, Mark; Siblings: Norma (Hawk) Coggins, Mary (Betty) Elizabeth LaCross, Leo Sabourin Jr., and Patricia Lee; Brother in law, Roy LaCross. The family extends a special thank you to her long-term caregivers at Bentley Manor #11 in Clio – especially: Stephanie, Roxann, Brenda, Brandy, Michelle, and Jasmine for all their love and care.
