Maryanne Giacalone Mancour, age 73, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior in Heaven on Friday, September 15, 2023 at home.
Maryanne was born on December 19, 1949 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Michael, Sr. and Anna Igno Giacalone. She attended Pierce School, Whittier Junior High School, St. Matthew Parochial School, and graduated from Flint Central High School, class of 1968.
Maryanne loved horses; she was a blue-ribbon equestrienne at Mr. David T. Dort's Flint Riding Academy in her early years. She was also an extraordinary vocalist in Country Music and Rock 'n' Roll Music in Greater Flint. As a talented thespian, Maryanne was privileged to serve as President of the Flint Community Players at Bower Theatre.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Dr. Michael (Marcia) Giacalone, Jr., of Grand Blanc.; precious and loving niece Kristi Johnson of Fenton; sister-in-law, Madeline Lask of Bay City; nephew Kevin (Debi) Johnson of Fenton; cousins: Barbara Jean (Dennis) David) of Grand Blanc, Julianne (Jack) Marlette of Gaylord, Mary Jane Mezaros of Grand Blanc, Stephen Mezaros of Los Angeles, California, James Chintyan of Davison, John Chintyan of Burton, Carol Freeman of Flint, James (Rose) Giacalone of Ann Arbor, and Lynne (Richard) Church of Interlochen; special friends Ed (Suzanne) Jakeway of Grand Blanc, Eric (Jennifer) Dann of Grand Blanc and best friend Lori Hoover of Mt. Morris, Maryanne was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband and Marine Corps veteran, Carl Lee Mancour.
The family will greet guests from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Rd., Grand Blanc, Michigan. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
Those who wish may contribute in Maryanne's loving memory to the Genesee County Humane Society.
