Joyce Mae Kent (formally Howe, French), 92, died Wednesday March 3, 2021. She was born September 21, 1928 in Flushing to parents Harold and Amanda (Crist) Kent.
Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being a part of the Flushing Girls Club. She had a wicked sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. The family would like to offer sincere gratitude for the loving staff of the Suncrest facility, particularly Joy Folsom. We were all blessed by their love and care.
Ms. Kent is survived by her children: Susan Taylor of Davison, Phyllis (Matt) Roukas of Portland, OR, Bryan (Phidge) Howe of Goodrich and Daniel Howe of Davison, grandchildren: Jodie (Adrien) Jaxen, Carrie Taylor, Matthew Roukas and brother: Harold Kent of MS. Joyce was preceded in death by her sister: Elaine Crowder as well as her afore mentioned parents.
Following her own wishes, Joyce’s family has entrusted Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer with cremation. A private memorial will take place. Interment will eventually be in Flushing Cemetery.
