ALUMBAUGH, Rita - Of Swartz Creek, age 75, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rita was born in Flint on November 4, 1942, the daughter of Louis and Mary Weber. On August 24, 1968, she married Bishop Gene Alumbaugh Flint and he preceded her in death in 2010. Rita was a member of Michigan Cruisers Car Club.
Surviving are son, Gary and wife Amy;
sister-in-law, Glenna (Bob) Higdon and Donna Evans;
brothers-in-law, Jim (Georgia) Alumbaugh, and Peter (Liz) Alumbaugh;
many nieces, nephews and a host of special friends.
Rita was also preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Mary Wernette.
