WATKINS, William – Of Burton, age 84, died Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
William was born in Flint, Michigan on September 13, 1936, the son of Alfred and Josephine (Kemp) Watkins.
On February 2, 1957, he married Barbara Bennett in Flint.
He loved being with his family and grandchildren.
William also enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing.
Surviving are children, Sandra (Alan) Talbot, Mike (Kim) Watkins, and Billy (Cari) Watkins;
grandchildren, Tiffany (Calvin) Wilson, Brandon (Gary) Andrews, Krystal Talbot, Courtney Talbot, Amy (Buzz) Reese, Jay (Heather) Reese, Monica (Brandon) Salyers, Kasey Rife, Jeffrey Watkins, Little Billy Watkins, Ashley (Michael) Brewer, and Joey (Chey) Watkins;
great-grandchildren, Kerissa, Riley, Lindsey, Madison, Caiden, Jesse, Eli, Annabelle and Gavin;
sister, Barbara Thompson;
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, on August 14, 2019; grandson, Barry Watkins and brother, George “Buck” Watkins.
