HULTQUIST, Kathleen – of Burton, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30AM Monday, January 11, 2021 at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423. Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to McLaren Hospice, Davison.
Kathleen was born in Syracuse, New York on October 27, 1923, daughter of the late John F. and Elizabeth (Cogswell) Kuss. She married Walter Hultquist on July 20, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1999. Kathleen volunteered for the American Red Cross, McLaren Hospice in Davison and St. Mary Catholic Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. However, the love of her life was her family.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Nancy (Darwin) Mondeau, John (Ginny) Hultquist and Mary Colvin; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanette Blankenship; The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Margaret Brown for the wonderful care she provided.
