Bradow, Gerald “Jerry” Alton – of Clio, age 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at McLaren Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger and Pastor Roger Gedcke to officiate. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 3pm until 8pm and on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clio Community School Service Backpack Program.



Jerry was born March 17, 1937, in Flint, Michigan to the late Howard and Ethel (Anway) Bradow. He attended and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1955. Jerry then went to Central Michigan University to finish his master’s degree. Jerry married the love of his life Sandra White on July 27, 1957. He worked for Buick as an Industrial Supervisor for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Jerry was a busy man; After retirement he acquired his Real Estates license, and taught Bible study for some time at Bethany Methodist Church. He had his pilot license and worked with youth cadets for the Flint Civil Air Patrol introducing them to flying, as well as the Daniel Prose Memorial Squadron #20241. He also was an active member in the DEA. Jerry enjoyed general aviation, boating, swimming, golfing, and spending time with his family and at his home working around the yard. He loved camping events with his family at the campgrounds around Michigan, especially in East Tawas. Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor, and his smile was contagious. He was his children’s, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s biggest supporter in any activity. Above all he was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, and friend who will be dearly missed by many.



Left to cherish in his memory are: Wife of 65 years, Sandra Bradow; Daughter: Wendy (John) Aichner; Daughter-In-Law, Lisa Bradow; Grandchildren: Travis (Jenny) Bradow, Brandon Alton (Kelsi) Fahr, Alyssa (Robert) Luke, Kaylie (Blake Vallie) Aichner, Timothy (Amanda) Bradow, Zachary Bradow, Madisyn Bradow, and Olivia Bradow; Great Grandchildren: Tyler Bradow, Jordan Bradow, Melanie Bradow, Logan Alton Fahr, Brantley Fahr, Lucas Bradow, Zoey Bradow, Layla Bradow; Sister-In-Law: Kathleen LaDouceur, and Murial Bradow; Nieces and Nephews: Rochelle (Rick) Baird; Great nephew, Cameron Baird; Cousins: Laurie (Rick) Fields, Noah (Kaysi) Fields, Tristan Fields, and Lincoln Fields, along with several others; He was blessed with many friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy R. Bradow; brother, Glen I Bradow; brother-in-law, Edward LaDouceur and aunt, Joan Cunningham.
