Jennette Lorraine Robare, age 96, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family
Born on June 29, 1929, Jennette lived a long and meaningful life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and quiet strength.
Jennette was fiercely committed to her family and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She created a warm and welcoming home where no one ever left hungry. An avid gardener and exceptional cook, she took pride in tending her vegetables and preparing meals that brought family together around the table. Her hands were rarely still and her work ethic became one of the many qualities admired by all who knew her. She retired from the State of Michigan in 1991 after many years of dedicated service. Even in retirement, Jennette remained active and independent, continuing as a Stanley dealer and selling house-hold products well into her late eighties. She cherished the friendships and connections she made throughout the years and was well-known for her determination and kindness and spirited personality.
Jennette leaves behind a loving family two daughters, Linda Fox and Brenda Brittain; three grandchildren, Karen (Mike) Wiltse, Eric Fox, Kelly (Mark) Sutton; three great grandchildren, Tabitha,andSydni Fox, and Brian Wiltse and one great-great grandchild, Aubree Johnson.who will forever treasure her strength, resilience and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the recipes and meals she shared, the gardens she nurtured and the family she loved so deeply. Jennette will be dearly missed and lovingly missed always.
Jennette was preceded in death by eight of her nine siblings; her children, Karen Jean and Leonard David; three beloved grandchildren; and her sons-in-law.
The family will receive visitors from 10-12 on May 14, 2026 at the Hilltop Community Church.
A funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on May 14, 2026 at the Hilltop Community Church. |
