SHARP, Deloris Ann "Dee" - Age 78, of Linden, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (A live stream of the service will be available on Deloris obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday from 12 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society.
Dee was born September 21, 1945 in Keystone, WV, the daughter of Robert Melvin and Grace Deloris (Henderson) Church. She was one of nine children. Dee met her husband, Doyle Sharp, Sr. at the Pink Poodle and married in October 30, 1965; and the couple had many adventures during their 41 years together, welcoming 2 children, Doyle (Carrie) Sharp, Jr. and Cheryl Blackburn; as well 6 grandchildren, Jeff Blackburn, Charlotte Blackburn, Brenda (Phil) Bissonnette, Sara (Jamie) Hetchler, Charles Blackburn, Amanda (Ethan Catlin) Sharp; and nine great grandchildren. The couple also welcomed many "adopted children" to their family as they always opened their hearts and home to many friends over the years. Dee's overwhelming love and compassion was felt by anyone who knew her.
She loved her family including her siblings, Robert (Eraiua) Church, Joseph (Linda) Church, Donnie Church, John (Laura) Church, Tom (Gary Kuhr) Church; and many nieces and nephews. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle, sister, Wanda; brothers, James and Jack Church; son-in-law, Greg Blackburn; granddaughter, Charlotte Blackburn; and great grandson, Kayn Hetcher.
