MINNIEAR-CRANE, Barbara Ann – Of Burton, age 83, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Pastor Jeff King officiating. An entombment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on June 28, 1939, the daughter
of Ralph and Mary Yount. She married Paul Minniear on June 8, 1957 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1997. She later married Norman "Pete" Crane on May 25, 2002. Barbara was a member of Ainsworth Baptist Church and sang with the Praise and Worship Group for many years. She belonged to the Eastern Stars, Flint #138. Barbara was an avid bowler and participated in the state bowling tournament for over 25 years. She was a volunteer with Carriage Town Ministries for over 25 years, an election worker for the City of Burton for over 30 years and a volunteer with Crestmont Healthcare Center for more than 15 years.
Surviving are husband, Norman "Pete";
2 daughters, Debra (Bruce) and Lisa (Jeff) King;
5 grandchildren, Daniel (Stefanie), Cassie (Philip), Janelle (Adam), Jillian (Steve) and Paul;
9 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Abigail, Katherine, Emma, Leah, Breckin, Lenore, Colton and Aven;
as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steven; parents; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Ainsworth Baptist Church Missions.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ascension Genesys MICU staff, especially Tracey, Matthew and Ryan.
