Patrick (Rick) L. Jacobson of Byron went to heaven on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the age of 67. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the VFW Hall in Durand starting at 1:00 PM. We are wearing our Detroit Tiger apparel so please feel free to wear yours as well. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Rick was born on July 17, 1956 to the late Marvin and Alma Jacobson. He was one of six children. Rick grew up in Byron, MI and was a graduate of Byron High School in 1974. He married his loving wife and best friend, Sue, enjoying a wonderful life together for the past 28 years. Rick was a very devoted father to his stepdaughter, Heather and his four children, Ryan, Michael, Ashley and Brittney. He was also a very proud grandfather to Holli, Ali, Katlyn, Mikayla, Drew, Brady, Emma, Jayden, Aubrey, Addy, Lacey and Jaylie; great grandsons, Bentley and Aidan.
Rick was a very hard working man who spent most of his career managing his staff in several departments in the manufacturing sector. He retired July 17, 2021. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor kept all around him laughing and smiling. Rick's favorite activities included playing board games with his family, watching baseball and being the best fantasy baseball manager of all time. Our memories of him will fill all of us with love and laughter forever. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and by all of us who loved him. |
