BURDT, Rita M. – of Burton, age 97, passed away February 16, 2018 at Genesee Care Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. William Wegher, celebrant. The family will receive visitors from 10-11 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Rita was born in Saginaw, MI on October 22, 1920, daughter of the late Peter and Betina (Montrosa) Marino. She married Rudy Burdt and he preceded her in death. Rita was a member of the Sons of Italy and volunteered at many events. She worked at AC Spark Plug before retiring in 1970.
Rita is survived by her children, Joseph (Shelley) Romanowski, Ronald (Tonya) Romanowski and Patricia (Charles Benjamin) Suski, Larry (Sherry) Burdt; sister, Frances Marino; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Genesee Care Center.
