SWEET, Mary Catherine - Age 86, of Byron, passed away December 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held 3:30PM Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 2PM until the time of service. Private burial in Sanford Cemetery, Cohoctah. Those desiring may make contributions to Village Bible Church, 410 N. Ann St., Byron, MI 48418. Mary was born September 19, 1938 in Howell, the daughter of JB and Lillian (Jackson) Knoop. She was an active member of Byron Baptist Church (now Village Bible Church). Mary enjoyed baking and gardening. She loved cats and music. She is survived by her children, Craig (Andrea) Howard, Margaret (Jay) Joyce and Heather (Jim) Sparks; grandchildren, Bradley (Krystal) Howard, Ben (Megan) Howard, Olivia Howard, Desiree Joyce, Joshua Sparks and Ashley Sparks; great-grandchildren, Ruby, Nora, Jude, Charlotte, Sam and Abby; sister, Rose (Jim) Erway; brothers, Henry (Kathy) Knoop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Howard; second husband, David Sweet; son, Michael Howard; daughter, Lisa Howard; brother, John Knoop.
