VANSAW, Leo Richard – Of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Private service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Chaplain Adam Doyle officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Visitation 1 p.m. -8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the funeral home.
Leo was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 16, 1940, the son of the late
Leo and Agnes (McLeod) Vansaw.
On October 1, 1960 he married Carol McFadden in Flint.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for many years.
He enjoyed bowling and was on the church bowling league.
Leo was an all-around working man.
Above all else, he loved watching his children and grandchildren play hockey.
Surviving are wife, Carol;
children, Debbie (Rick) Reid, Dawn (Bob) Jerichow, Mark (Sylvia) Vansaw and Michael (Ronnie) Vansaw;
12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Nicholas Vansaw.
