EASTERLY, Gary – of Clio, formerly of Ohio, age 76, died peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at his residence. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 11AM until 4PM. Honoring his wishes, cremation will follow.
Gary was born January 27, 1948, in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Jerome and Jean (Singer) Easterly Jr. He graduated from Tuslaw High School in 1966, was awarded a full scholarship to the General Motors Institute BSIE and received his master’s degree in management from Central Michigan University. For 21 years, Gary worked at Buick before transferring to Sodecia where he later retired as an engineer manager. On June 22, 1969, he married Linda DeCeuster, and together they shared 55 years of marriage and raised three children. Gary was a member of the Clio Masonic Temple, the Rotary Club, the Shriners, and in his younger years he was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed being outdoors tending to his flower gardens, keeping up with his lawn, and golfing. He always kept up with his favorite football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. Above all, Gary loved his family and created many memories throughout the years that will last a lifetime. He will be dearly missed.
Gary is forever remembered by: Wife, Linda Easterly; Children: Craig Easterly and DeeAnna (Randy) Pazz; Grandchildren: Zach, Faith, Alexis, Jake, Josh, Trenton, Nathaniel, and Brody; 6 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Paul (Cassandra) Easterly, Vickie Doles, and Bob (Angie) Easterly; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Gary was preceded in death by: Son, Marc Easterly; Parents, Jerome and Jean; Sister, Judy Jackson; Brother-in-law, Buddy Doles. |
