Age 88, of Mt. Morris, passed away at her home on December 30, 2024. A funeral service will take place 6:30 pm, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettle officiating with the burial taking place 10:00 am, Friday, January 10, 2025, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Miriam’s family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday to receive friends from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 6:30 pm. Miriam was born on October 17, 1936, in Fairbank, Pennsylvania; she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Wayne and Dorothy “Dolly” (Foor) Satterfield. Educated locally, Miriam graduated with the class of 1954. She worked at Buick and AC Delco in Romulus for a number of years doing contract work, from there she would begin working in the office at Boutell Trucking. Miriam was most known as an office clerk until her retirement from the Mt. Morris Township Treasure’s Office. She met and married Grant St. Amour in Mt. Morris in 1991; sadly, he preceded her in death on January 3, 2022. In her free time, Miriam loved hosting family gatherings, cooking for her family, and friends, she loved to spoil her grandchildren, traveling to see her family in Pennsylvania, and vacationing by the water. Miriam had a heart of gold who made everyone feel welcome and loved. She was the sweetest person and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a fun amazing mother, and grandmother who was always good for a laugh.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Kevin (Bonnie) Wells, Keith (Phyllis) Wells, Ken (Debbie) Wells; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepsons: Grant Jr, Gary, and Rick St. Amour; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Grant.
