OLSEN, Kenneth Wayne – of Davison, MI, age 82, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, September 19, 2022, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3222 S. Genesee Rd. Burton, MI 48519: Pastor Mark Matheny officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Davison, MI. The family will receive visitors before the service at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Kenneth was born in Grand Rapids, MI on April 24, 1940, son of the late Earnest and Mildred (Wass) Olsen. He married Marlene Somero on April 30, 1960 in Arcadia, MI. Kenneth grew up on a farm in Arcadia, MI. He was part of the high school graduating class of 1958. Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and enjoyed the year that he was stationed in Keflavik, Iceland. Kenneth retired from the accounting department at General Motors. He liked to spend his time playing softball, fishing, hunting and working in the yard. He cherished his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart!!
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marlene Olsen; daughter, Kelly Olsen; son, John (Francie) Olsen; grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel, and Jessica; sisters, Meridith Manke and Phyllis (Donald) Crawford; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Mildred Olsen; brother, Roy Olsen and infant brother, Carl Edward Olsen.
