Kevin Michael McGuckin
Age 79 of Corunna passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Regency of Grand Blanc.
Funeral services will be held January 9th, at 5pm with Father Anthony Strouse officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the time of service. Military Honors will follow.
Kevin was born July 10, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York , the son of John McGuckin and Margaret (Fleming) McGuckin.
He graduated from Arch Bishop Molly High School in Queens New York class of 1961.
After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy.
Kevin enjoyed reading (many books at the same time) , listening to the NYPD police radio, spending time with his kids and grandkids. Kevin also enjoyed telling stories of growing up in New York City and his time as a Deputy Sheriff.
He married Francine Hermance in 1970; she predeceased him in 2008
Kevin was employed with the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office for 28 years.
Kevin is survived by his children Kathleen (Aaron) Martin, Tim McGuckin, Denis McGuckin and Mary (Ian) Phillips; grandchildren Colleen McGuckin, Ryan McGuckin, Kevin McGuckin, Eileen Brisboe, Lauren Skinner, Colin McGuckin and Paige McGuckin; great grandchildren and loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Francine and son Sean McGuckin.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
