Merwyn W. Main of National City, MI., formerly Swartz Creek, MI., passed away June 14, 2022 at 80 years of age. He was born November 14, 1941 in Flint, MI. to the late Waldo and Beatrice (Mida) Main. On October 21, 1961 he married Marilyn (Peters) Main in Flint. Mr. Main had been a machine operator for General Motors for over 30 years. He and Marilyn were foster parents for many years and enjoyed his home in Northern Michigan, winters in Florida and traveling. Merwyn is survived by six children; Robin (Gene) Norman of Burton, Deana (Gilbert) Booth of Genesee, David (Tess) Main of Grand Blanc, Arthur (Cynthia) Main of Hale, Patrick (Michelle) Main of Bradenton, FL., and John (Mary) Main of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Merwyn is preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Beatrice; spouse, Marilyn Main; sisters, Jeanette Drew, Linda West; grandchildren, Lucius and Zeus. Private cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to Tendercare of Tawas.
