Buell, Linda of Gladwin, formerly of Flint, age 78, died Monday, June 6, 2022, at her home. Cremation has taken place. Private burial will be at Flushing Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial services may be made to Sugar Spring Memorial Fund.
Linda was born in Flint, Michigan on October 26, 1943, the daughter of Aubrey and Freida (Barnes) McGraw. She married Richard Buell in Flint on August 8, 1964. Linda graduated from the University of Michigan with her both her bachelor and master’s degree. She worked as a Librarian for over 30 years for the Flint Community Schools. In 1996, Linda and Richard moved to Gladwin Sugar Springs. Linda was a key member of the Sugar Springs Garden Club, the Herb Society of Gladwin County and was an active member of the Friends of the Gladwin Public Library. She enjoyed volunteering her time in various ways. Together with her husband, they enjoyed traveling around the United States and internationally.
Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard; children, Julie and husband Steven Moore, Brett Buell; grandchildren, Kaila (Alex) McClellan, Sarah Buell, and Connor Moore; brother, Michael McGraw; brother-in-law, Robert and wife Kathy Buell; sister-in-law, Barbara Clark; numerous cousins, especially Keith and wife Marty. She was preceded in death by her parents and dear cousins, Bob and wife, Fran.
