DOWD, Paul – of Montrose, age 69, died Friday, December 30, 2022, at Medilodge of Montrose. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and memorial contributions may be made to Paul’s loving sister, Karen, for future designation.
Paul was born March 29, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Leonard and Donna (Harpst) Dowd. He attended Montrose Community Schools where he received his high school diploma and worked as a teamster at Complete Auto in Flint, Michigan for many years. In high school, Paul was proudly voted class president and was state wrestling champion with his brother, John. He excelled in football and was undefeated in shotput. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family dearly and liked spending time with them whenever possible. Paul was known to always have a smile on his face. He had a calm, happy personality that offered others comfort when needed. Paul was a loyal father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all. A special thanks is extended to Paul’s beloved sister, Karen, and family friend, Darci Thompson, who visited Paul every day and carried him through his final days.
Paul is forever loved by his 4 children; 9 grandchildren; 4 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Donna Jean; Siblings: Loretta, John, Peter, and Steven. |
